Meet Maggie

Deoksugung Palace. Summer 2012

Life is too short to sacrifice dreams.... this the story of me deciding it is time to seize the day. This is my journey detailing my life living abroad in addition to my thoughts, dreams and reflections as I complete this journey from a life overshadowed by my own fears to one a little free-er and happier.

Hello, My name is Maggie and I currently teach English in South Korea. I have been teaching  in Sejong Si since June 2012. It is the new administrative capital in SK and rapidly expanding. I am an elementary public school teacher working in two schools. I teach 1st through 6th grade as well as 1 kindergarten class a week. I have also taught an advanced English class for gifted students a couple of Saturdays a semester.

I love pandas, travelling, exploring, reading, writing, cooking, taking photos and meeting new people. I started this blog whilst I was still completing my TEFL course and deciding where that would bring me. I hadn't even made up my mind at that point on whether I wanted to go to South Korea or somewhere else.

You can learn more about me and what makes me tick in this interview on Expatsblog.

Additionally, I am a contributor on The Sejong Dish where I  help to compile FAQs relevant to teaching and living in the  Sejong Si area. I also contribute to the  What's cooking blog on this website.

Finally, I also have a cooking blog - Spoon in a Saucepan. Do check it out!

Remember, if you like what you read, please like, comment or share any page, article or blog post. Thank you!
